Vehicle safety centre
Vehicles on SellAnythingTT are advertised by individual sellers. Unlike normal marketplace products, cars are not sold through our checkout, and we do not arrange their pickup, delivery, inspection or legal transfer.
Arrange daytime viewings at a monitored public location, ideally near a bank or other staffed venue. Bring another person and avoid isolated meeting places or inviting strangers to your home.
Check the vehicle in daylight, confirm the registration details and seller identity, and consider an independent mechanic inspection and a test drive with suitable insurance and permission.
Confirm that the seller can legally sell the vehicle. Check the certified copy and any liens or outstanding financing, and follow the Transport Division's current change-of-ownership procedure.
For large payments, consider a bank transfer performed and confirmed while both parties are present at a bank. A manager's cheque or bank draft may reduce cash handling, but ask the issuing bank to authenticate it and confirm final clearance before releasing the vehicle, keys or documents. A deposit slip, screenshot, or cheque is not proof of cleared funds.
Do not send copies of IDs, bank details or vehicle documents to strangers. Redact sensitive identifiers from publicly posted photos. Keep a written sale agreement and receipts.
Be suspicious of overpayments, urgency, requests to refund the difference, third-party couriers and buyers who refuse identification or inspections.
Clean the car, remove clutter, shoot landscape in even daylight with a neutral background. Capture the front, rear, left and right sides, front and rear seats, dashboard and mileage, engine bay, tyres and wheels. Show scratches, dents and mechanical defects honestly. Use up to ten actual photos, not stock images.

Buyers and sellers independently arrange and are responsible for meetings, inspections, negotiations, payment, clearance, taxes, legal documents, insurance, possession and lawful transfer. Sellers must advertise truthfully and must have authority to sell. Use the platform's reporting or contact features to flag fraud or abuse.
